Interviews on the whole is a difficult process, what is more tedious is when the HR asks if your have any last questions before wrapping up.
Though this question is mostly asked as a formality, this however gives the candidate one final opportunity to impress the interviewer and make them remember you.
Since so many other candidates would have also answered similar questions, the wrapping up always adds value to the conversation.
Marshall Darr in his article on Medium points out that if you play your cards right, it can turn a completely lost into a foot in the door.
Darr suggests to ask this question,'Actually yeah, I was wondering what your best moment so far at [Company Name] was.'
Though this might seem like a innocent curiosity, it can give important insights about your interviewer's values, the company and how well you might fit in with a position there.
This will also kindle your interviewer's fondest memory and this feeling can be subconsciously associated with what you can expect from the organisation.
If your interviewer struggles to come up with a meaningful memory, that’s a helpful red flag for you to keep in mind if you end up with an offer.
