MULTI-TASKING

MAKING EXCUSES
People hate excuses. It is doubly so when it is your boss or client. So as far as possible, stop giving excuses and start showing productivity. If there is something genuine, excuse is fine. Otherwise, it can become a bad habit that might hamper your growth.
DESK-TOP
No matter how hard you struggle in your desktop or laptop, it will make a big difference if you keep your desk clean. Yes, your surroundings certainly leave an impression on you, so keep them tidy. Face is the index of the mind, and your desk is the index of your work. This may be wrong, but this is how it works.
CHECKING YOUR MOBILE/MAIL OFTEN

Checking your mobile or computer for e-mail or social media alerts will certainly affect your productivity. But to how to control the urge? Set a time-frame. Say, you will only check your mobile only once in one hour or so.
STOP COMPLAINING
Put efforts towards alleviating negative thoughts. Stop complaining about your colleagues. If there is something really wrong and needs to be corrected, there are other ways to handle it. For, thoughts are powerful, and can make or break the soul is well-known. They can make or break your career too.
UNHEALTHY FOOD
Don't skip your breakfast. And ensure that you don't eat junk food lunch. Heavy or insufficient lunch will certainly hamper your productivity. It's good to have a royal meal once in a while. It's fine to fast once in a month or so. But ensure that you get your daily dose of food in correct quality and quantity.
TOO MUCH OF NEWS / GOSSIP
The net is overflowing with news and sometimes, your workplace will overflow with gossips. Don't encourage both. While it is good not to miss any news related to your work, don't make it a point to read anything and everything you come across. Also, as far as possible, stay away from gossips. It is not going to help anyone.
KEEP YOURSELF FIT

Don’t say no.
NO TENSION
Tension will not help you at work. It is true that work comes with tension and pressure these days. But keep yourself cool in every way possible. Deadline pressures can be handled easily if things are planned well. Don’t argue with your colleagues, boss or client. Even if there is some unpleasant situation, you can turn it in your favour with your acts. ‘Cool buddy’ is the mantra.
BIG BAD THINGS
The trend is to work hard and party hard. Nothing wrong, but only till things are under your control. In fact, it is good to unwind once in a while. At the same time, you should ensure that you don’t become an addict. Keep a check list and stick to it.
