Position: Sr. Manager/DGM - Gear Projects

Department: Manufacturing / Engineering

Exp- 18 -25 years in Gear Manufacturing/engineering experience

Qualification: 

Location: Tambaram, Chennai

CTC- Rs.25-30 Lacs per annum.

Required Skills: Work Experience in Leading Gear Manufacturing Companies and Liebherr Machines (Both CNC Hobbing & Shaping).

Knowledge & Hands-on experience in gear manufacturing equipment to machine the Splines and Gear to meet the Gear/ Spline Requirements – Hobbing/ Shaping/ Grinding/ Shaving/ Broaching

? Knowledge & Experience in blueprints or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances and program the required gear profile in Liebherr Hobber/ Shaper or any other international brands.

? Knowledge in Selection of Hobbing & Shaping Cutting Tools

? Knowledge & Experience in defining the Gear Blanks & process planning to cut the gear/ spline profile after/before machining.

? Knowledge in Work Holding/ Fixture Concepts to perform Gear Hobbing/ Shaping

? Trouble shoot & manage the production team who reads machining instructions or blueprints to determine machine settings, fixtures, and hobs to use, and gear specifications, for example dimensions and tolerances.

? May also compute data & advise the team, for example gear dimensions and machine settings, applying knowledge of shop mathematics.

Troubleshooting the issues in parts & fixtures during product development with production & manufacturing engineering team

? May check the parts during machine setup, using master gears.

? Experience in Liebherr Hobber/ Shaper is an added advantage.

? Understanding the Quality Requirements of AGMA/ DIN/ BS Gear Standards

? Knowledge in using Auto CAD/ any 3D modeling software if required – AutoCAD/ Solidworks is an added advantage to design the process & fixtures.

? Manage the production & manufacturing engineering team to develop the new components and manage the production components
