 JOB DESCRIPTION 

Position: Sr. Manager – Materials – To lead team responsible for Direct and Indirect procurement both Domestic and Imports, Sub contracting, New Product Development, Cost Reduction Initiatives, Inventory control, Logistics, Stores and Scrap yard management 

Education: Degree – Full time in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering 

Supportive software knowledge: - SAP & MS office 

Location: Trichy 

Experience: Min 15 years’ experience in manufacturing industry preferably Auto parts mass production – Tier 1 

Commodity Exposure: Iron Castings, Hot Forgings, CNC Machining, Subcontracting and Boughtouts 

Monthly schedule planning and procurement  

New product development

Strategic Supplier development

Price finalization, Negotiation and commercial skill

Cost reduction thru VA / VE

Inventory and Stores Management

Import procurement and procedures

Packing, Dispatch and Logistics management

Knowledge in various manufacturing processes

Knowledge in supplier base for various commodity (with in India)

Supplier part Quality management and Problem solving techniques

Lead and Guide team to achieve overall dept. objective

Exposure to IATF 16949, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards,

Familiar with TQM, PPAP & APQP practices

7. Involvement in supplier manufacturing process
