Educational Qualification & Experience:
1. Bachelors degree with an MBA (HR specialization) Premier institute pass-outs will be preferred
Expert understanding of the following:
Large complex business in a manufacturing industry, along with the ability to manage multiple business entities simultaneously
Stays abreast with local and international industry practices in HR BP - (L&D, OD, Compensation and benefits, Talent acquisition etc.)
2. Expertise in industrial relations, with the ability to manage multiple Units across different geographies
3. Organization restructuring, org design and change management will be preferred
4. Experience: Approx. 13-15 years’ experience including global exposure in HR. Experience in Manufacturing Industry is must. Incumbents from Pune region will be preferred.
Role Specifications:
Business support:
1. Provides a consolidated view of talent implications of company's strategy for all the plants/Units across all the locations to the senior management
2. Prepares long-term and short-term strategic HR plan based on the business priorities identified for the company and oversees its translation to each of the Units/Plants while ensuring uniformity across the company and alignment to the HR philosophy of ACG group
3. Acts as a conduit between the units and the corporate HR
to seek advice on critical/complex HR issues for the company
for interpretation and application of corporate HR policies at the company
4. Ensures all the Units of the organization are prepared to meet business objectives through effective change management (such as enhance and build organizational capabilities)
5. Handles complex HR issues across multiple Units of the company
6. Liaises with CoE/ Corporate HR to co-create policies and processes and leverages their expertise for customizing best practices in HR systems and policies spanning different areas of specialization (learning and development, Engagement, talent acquisition, PMS, rewards etc.) to suit different Units of the company while ensuring uniformity across the company
7. Identifies, designs and oversees execution of business specific HR initiatives in addition to corporate initiatives
8. Manages HR functional budget for the company by balancing the needs of each Unit/Plant within the company and the availability of funds
9. Building talent in customer facing functions like sales, service, etc. through capability development initiatives
10. Top team building and bringing in the best talent will be a priority for the incumbent
11. Leveraging and establishing synergies across the 4 different plants
Stakeholder management/IR:
1. Engages with key business stakeholders to get a buy-in on new initiatives
2. Serves as the point of contact for all the Units of the company on HR related matters impacting the organization; Provides clarity to the team below in interpretation of corporate HR policy
3. Ensures the team regularly interacts with all the departments at the plants to understand their requirements, roll out new initiatives, etc.
4. Oversees effective delivery of HR and labour relations programs including management of contract labour and union negotiations at multiple Units of the company
5. Guides senior management in labour relations and resolution of specific concerns/problems/grievances for all the Units/plant locations
6. Drives investigation of issues related to employee grievances and takes corrective action; Takes preventive measures to avoid such incidents in the future
Administration
1. Overall supervision of admin roles and manage any escalations as and when required
2. Vendor management for the units
3. Undertaking administration improvement project for the units
Team management/development:
1. Provides guidance to the team on complex issues related to stakeholder management while ensuring uniformity across all the plants
2. Coaches and mentors the team below to prepare them for future roles
Improvements
1. Looks for ways to optimize utilization of HR budget for the company
2. Shares best practices with other ACG companies based on external research as well as own experience in managing multiple plants
3. Pushes the internal team to strive for improvement and manage the Plant/Unit independently with minimal interference from the central HR
Scope of Decision Making:
1. Acts with authority subject to very broad guidance from the Directors/management/CEO with a general orientation to manage greater scale
2. Initiates best-in-class practices related to best HR BP that can be leveraged across a wider product portfolio in the ACG Group context
3. Resolves highly complex people related issues with many variables, particularly IR related issues
