The Assistant Manager Logistics will be responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and procedures within the organization related to the Logistics functions.

Here is a glimpse of what Logistics Assistant manager will do

 •          Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal team, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers.

•          Order, Track, Report deliveries & reviewing import /export and domestic shipments.

•          Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.

•          Develop business by gaining new contracts, analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions.

•          Tracking shipments details, updating details to Sales team, following Forwarder till Invoices been submitted to Accounts Teams & Payment Processing.

•          Sending RFQ for all import and export shipments all over the world and finalizing Rate Contracts for Regular Moving Shipment Locations.

•          Co-ordinating with Suppliers for checklist approvals, customs clearance and Duty follow up with account team.

•          Ensure accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation in line with shipments.

•          Ensuring all shipments are compliant with interstate traffic laws and regulations.

•          Responding to shipping complaints, lost items, and damages.

•          Arranging external transport ensuring best prices are obtained monitoring quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport cost.

•          Determine needs for expansion of routes and schedules.

•          Preparing weekly, Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly reports of all shipments recommending improvements to quality of service and efficiency of the team.

•          Supervising logistics team in efficient way for achieving Logistics department KPIs.

•          Ability to work independently, including making decisions without affecting company resources.

•          Create policies, safety procedures and supply chain processes as needed to increase logistical efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

 •          Letter of Credit Procedures for Import and Export.

•          FIRC – Foreign Inward remittance certificates coordination with banks for Payments as well submitting the Proof of exports to Banks.

•          Export Drawback follow up with Air/Sea Customs.

•          Export Drawback Supplementary claims procedures.

•          Coordinating with JDGFT for Import / Incentive Licenses, Advance License /EPCG / I E Code/ Status Holder Certificates

•          All Export Shipment full fill the export incentives (MEIS).

•          Service providers Management and contract renewal –(Forwarders, Liners & Transporters)

•          New logistics sources identification & implementation for domestic, import & export operations.

IT Skills Require:

MS-OFFICE (Word, Excel, Power Point), Internet, E-Mail Concepts & SAP.

Languages should know:

Must be able to Read & speak following languages---English & Hindi

Must be able to Read and write English language.
