Qualification-BE ECE/EEE

·  Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in Sourcing & component activity.

·  Good Negotiator, self-starter, Team Player, Quick Decision Maker & learner.

·  Computer proficient in Microsoft Office with good oral and written communication skills.

·  Knowledge of ISO and other recognized international quality system standards

 JOB DESCRIPTION: Component CumSourcing Engineer

·  Results oriented Engineer with Sound Knowledge in Sourcing of Electronic Components, direct materials (e.g. injection mouldings, metal fabrications) with suppliers who can meet the service, quality and cost requirements. 

·  Powder Coating process knowledge will be added advantage.

·  coordinating and process sourcing duties relating to new product development including leading or participating in supplier selection, capability assessment, quality improvement, and supplier readiness.

·  Develop potential sources of supply for purchased products to ensure prices are globally competitive and to provide cost analysis for new and currently manufactured parts.

·  Able to read engineering drawings & Standards.

·  To work with our Product and Design Development team to ensure the proposed products can be manufactured in mass quantities and are ready for the sourcing.

·  Strong interpersonal & presentation skills to do multiple functions to identify & provide solutions to critical part issues.

·  Conduct periodic supplier assessment on regular intervals through system and process audits in compliance with organisation supplier performance and monitoring goals and objectives

·  Able to use & implement project management skills and tools to investigate alternate component technologies for reducing cost or improving quality.

·  Design and develop tooling with our approved fabricators to support new production lines

·  Reverse engineer old parts and coordinate the method of replacement for preventative maintenance.

·  Implement Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VA/VE) processes to meet specific cost reduction goals.

·  Identify and propose new and/or improved processes to promote workplace efficiency and best practices
