Support the Country Manager India and other key members of senior management advising on HR policies, recruitment, and other matters within operations.

Establishment and delivery of a unified HR reporting system.

Contribute to the development of DFIs strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the country in terms of Human Resources and Group requirements.

Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the Country Manager informed of all critical issues.

Develop regional strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues. 

Contribute information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction.

Establish human resources objectives within India business in line with organizational objectives at Group level.

Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, HR compliance, and labor relations.

Manage human resources in India by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining leading staff.

Ensure efficiency of all HR administrative processes and activities and high level of HR services.

Plan, monitor, appraise, and review staff job contributions.

Maintain compensation at market level in line with Group guidelines.

Designing systems, accumulating resources, resolve problems and implement change.

Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values in accordance to Group guidelines.

Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Update job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Extensive hands-on experience in managing HR department preferably with strong recruitment background.

Systematic approach to problem detection and solving, strong analytical skills.

A proven track record of people management.

Strong competency in initiation and implementation of new operational approaches.

Exceptional understanding of personalities and behavioral styles to work collaboratively with a variety of people and to make informed decisions around resourcing, reporting structures and relationships.

Expert in employment law and employee relations and communication in India.

Familiarity and skill with the tools of the trade in human resources, file management, and benefits administration.

Experience in organization development and change management.

Experience managing external employment agencies, recruiters, and temporary staffing agencies.

Solid knowledge of India labor market.

Focus on processes and results, and a sense of urgency.
